Two private lakes designed by America’s favorite fisherman, Jimmy Houston, are the crown jewels of Ridge Lake Shores by The Woodlands, Texas.
Ridge Lake, the larger of the two lakes, is 70 acres
in size and is nearly one mile long from north to south and over six football
fields wide across the lake. Trophy Lake is 35
acres and is tucked discreetly in a dense hardwood forest.
Both lakes have boat ramps and adjoining parks for you and your
guests to enjoy fishing and good old-fashioned lazy afternoon picnics.
Each lake
is 20 to 30 feet deep with natural sunken structure to hold the 'big ones' and islands to attract
native waterfowl and birds. This is Texas' fishing at its best with both lakes stocked with Trophy Bass, Crappie & Sunfish.
And of course, if you are going to live on the water, it is important to always have water. To maintain
constant water levels during severe dry conditions both lakes are anchored by 500 ft. wells with 10 in. flow capacities.
To eliminate costly bulkheading, the developer designed the shoreline perimeter with a gentle ‘berm’
to allow easy access to the lake for that kayak or paddleboat ride.
To maintain this prolific fishery, all homeowners are encouraged to use eco-friendly
landscaping and gardening practices to keep pesticides and fertilizers from tainting the pristine
waters . . .
Remember... this is Paradise.
Sail, kayak, boat or fish from your dock as you enjoy the harmony of nature blending with the tranquility of the country
lifestyle.
Imagine . . . living
on a cool spring-fed lake . . . away from the big city . . . by The Woodlands.
You are home .
. . this is Ridge Lake Shores.
